To determine the amount of the road use fee (toll) for different types of vehicles, depending on the type of vehicle, the number of axles and the height of the front axle, vehicles are divided into five categories:
- first category A: motor vehicles with characteristics of motorcycles (two-wheeled),
- first category B: vehicles with two axles and front axle height lower than 1.3 meters,
- second category: vehicles with three or more axles and a height at the front axle lower than 1.3 meters, vehicles with two axles and a height at the front axle higher than 1.3 meters or lower than 1.8 meters and vehicles with a trailer with three or multiple axles and front axle height lower than 1.3 meters,
- third category: vehicles with three axles and a height at the front axle higher than 1.3 meters and vehicles with two axles and a height at the front axle the same or higher than 1.8 meters
- fourth category: vehicles with four or more axles and front axle height higher than 1.3 meters.
Height of the vehicle at the front axle is measured vertically from the roadway to the highest point of the vehicle above the front axle.
