To enable fast and safe access to and from the A1 motorway and provide convenient connection to the central urban area of Negotino, the Public Enterprise for State Roads is working on a solution for construction of an infrastructure facility: an exit from the A1 Motorway, a section from the roundabout near the old Road 103 to Gevgelija, the main “Zheleznichka” Street, up to the roundabout on “Marshal Tito” Street in the Municipality of Negotino.
The project is a joint initiative and will be implemented jointly by the PESR and the Municipality of Negotino. This was the main purpose of the on-site inspection carried out by the PESR Director, Koce Trajanovski, together with his team, and the Mayor of Negotino Municipality, Goran Stojanov, accompanied by the Municipal Secretary Marija Naceva and the municipal team.

The planned length of the infrastructure construction is 1.54 km, with an estimated value of 1.8 million euros. In this regard, the procedure for selecting an economic operator for construction is currently underway, and construction works are expected to begin in early 2026.
The current condition of the section from the A1 Motorway exit (part of Corridor 10), through the roundabout near the old Road 103 to Gevgelija, along the main “Zheleznichka” Street, to the roundabout on “Marshal Tito” Street in the Municipality of Negotino, does not meet traffic needs. Due to insufficiently adapted technical elements and numerous conflict points, this section does not meet the minimum standards for safe and efficient traffic flow.

The construction of the new infrastructure facility on the same route will enable:
• Fast and safe access to and from the A1 motorway,
• Improved connection with the central urban area,
• Enhanced traffic safety,
• Facilitated transport of goods and services.
This intervention will contribute to the economic development of the Municipality of Negotino and the wider region.
Additionally, rehabilitation of the regional road R1103 Kavadarci – Negotino, with a length of about 10 km and an estimated value of 6–7 million euros, is also planned. The project is expected to be completed within 10 months and will enable faster and safer traffic between the two municipalities. Furthermore, design documentation is planned to be developed in 2026 for an expressway construction connecting the two cities, which will improve the transport connectivity and support the regional economic development.
