The Public Enterprise for State Roads (PESR) is in the process of construction of a new expressway from road Kriva Palanka to interchange Stracin, the section “Kriva Palanka – Rankovce”, as part of the national A2 road network, with international importance that connects Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of North Macedonia, and Republic of Albania (Corridor VIII).

This Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) is representing a comprehensive List of respective measures for avoiding, minimizing and mitigation of impacts from slope remediation activities, required to ensure the stability of cut-slopes and erosion control. The measures recognized and elaborated within the ESMP comply with the World Bank standards for combatting environmental and social risks and impacts of the project.
