The Public Enterprise for State Roads (PESR) is in the process of construction a new expressway from road Kriva Palanka to interchange Stracin, a section called “Kriva Palanka – Rankovce”. The road section forms part of the core national transportation network and is categorized as a state road – A2, which is a part of the national A2 road network with international importance that connects Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of North Macedonia and Republic of Albania (Corridor VIII).

In accordance with the World Bank resettlement policy (OP 4.12) the Abbreviated Resettlement Action Plan (ARAP) was prepared, completed, and approved for both sections of the Kriva Palanka – Rankovce expressway, Lot 1 (Dlabocica-Stracin) and Lot2 (Kriva Palanka-Dlabocica). This document refers only to the additional land needed for the stabilization of the slopes on both sections, Lot1 and Lot2, respectively.
