Director of the Public Enterprise for State Roads Aleksandar Stojanov went today on three locations on Veles – Gradsko section of Alexander of Macedonia motorway to see the completed repairs of road surface deformations.

The repair was necessary as significant bumps appeared on the asphalt that extended horizontally on the carriageway in both directions and on three locations, which represented a threat to the traffic safety, especially considering the speed limit of 120km/h on this motorway section.

Technical Design for Repair was developed for this purpose, according to which on all three spots in both directions the asphalt layer was removed down to the sub-base layer. The sub-base layer was replaced, on which two base asphalt layers were placed followed by the wearing course of asphalt, and the work was completed by road marking.

This repair was a 10.3 million denars worth investment.
