Minister of Transport and Communications Vlado Misajlovski and Director of the PE for State Roads Aleksandar Stojanov today paid a working visit to the Miladinovci – Stip Motorway that is under construction to check the progress of works.

– Eighty percent of the alignment site has been cleared until to date. The progress schedule has been adhered to. We faced many problems due to rain and snow falls, but the construction works are going on very well currently and I expect the progress to intensify during the summer, said the Minister of Transport and Communications Vlado Misajlovski during his visit to the first section of Miladinovci – Stip Motorway near the village of Sredno Konjare.

Minister Misajlovski emphasized that the construction of motorways in Macedonia is an investment boom for the country, adding that construction works have been underway on several motorway sections: Kicevo – Ohrid, on which 900 workers have been working; Demir Kapija – Smokvica, where 700 workers have been employed; 100 workers have been engaged on the section Veles – Katlanovo, and another 500 on the section Miladinovci – Stip.

Director of the Public Enterprise for State Roads Aleksandar Stojanov stated that on Miladinovci – Stip section the following has been underway: earthworks, culverts and slopes, concrete work on three (3) bridges, 8 overpasses, 4 underpasses, and 4 viaducts.
